Beer Batter

Hi, I love beer battered fish and onion rings fried up.
I know frying things isnt a great idea but every once
in a while it doesnt hurt to treat your taste buds!

To make enough batter for a pound of fish fillets
all you need is
a heaping cup of all purpose flour
a normal size can of beer
three pinches of salt
a few shakes of tobasco

stir the beer into the flour and salt unitl its nice and creamy
you wont need all of the beer, so just drink whats left.
shake in some tobasco sauce if you like, and stir.

I recommend patting your food dry and coating with a sprinkle
of flour before you dip it in to the batter.

Fry it up, yum!

Owww that's sounds great and yummy...I gonna try it.  Just let you know the outcome and let see to it if I did it ryt. lol

Thanks for the recipe. (I particularly like the part about drinking the beer that doesn't go into the batter)

I wonder if you could substitute corn meal for some of the flour to make corn dogs? Or maybe hush puppies?

Reminds me of my grandmothers fish fries when I was a kid.  I loved the stuff.
