Marinate for meat?
I think we experimented with the beer can chicken before it became such a novelty. I have also injected beer mixed in with a cajun mix into a turkey before frying. Makes a good juicy bird.

Frying your thanksgiving bird is the best, any way you do it. For me, the only way to do it. Cook for 45 minutes, outside---++for wife. And you can inject with whatever and it will retain some of that flavor. And the bird ends up moist and not dry like most big birds that are baked.
Has anybody ever used beer to cook duck? Maybe it would be more advisable to use as a marinade, since duck tends to be greasier than other fowl.
