Brandywine
I am not sure if I have posted this question before but here it goes again, has anyone ever heard of brandywine? It was very popular in Europe in the 1800"s and I think it might have been a by-product of brandy processing or possible a very low grade of brandy. Maybe a wine mixed with brandy?? I don't know, but I am dying to find out.
I believe brandy and brandywine are essentially the same thing - a distilled beverage derived from wine. The term 'brandywine' just became shorted to 'brandy'.
