Unfortunatly, there's a lot of places Sam does not live in.  I know some people in Oregon who say the Sam they get is the Lager and Light.  No holiday, no seasonal....that would suck!

I would be one of them!  The only Sam's I can get is the lager, except for one shop here that carried a few of the longshot six packs.  sad  I'm in the Southern Oregon area and there are only 3 stores within 40 miles that I would consider "good" beer stores.

On the other hand, there are quite a few microbreweries here so I don't feel like I'm too out of luck.

BTW, I use http://www.liquidsolutions.biz/main/ for buying hard to find beers.  They have a disclaimer that  "Due to restrictions in the respective state laws, we are not able to ship alcohol to Maryland or Wyoming."

But at the same time I bet you guys have easier access to some of the Sierra Nevada stuff that I can't get.

The porter is rare here, and I don't see bigfoot to often.

I have to say that I have never seen the Sierra Nevada Porter but i have heard a lot about it.  When I go beer hunting its usually for the hard to find Belgium beers, and sour ales.  If I spot the porter is it worth picking up?

I enjoyed the porter.  Smoother and less coffee roastiness than other porters I have had.  Almost stout-like in its smoothness.

That's one of the many things I hate about living in Massachusetts, you can't get beer delivered.

Depending on where you live, there's no need to have it shipped.  There are a couple of really good stores with huge selections in Massachusetts....sometimes a bit of a drive, but worth it.
