As you can see i'm trying to post a picture, I think i'm making this to hard, but the directions on how to post a picture are very vauge, or i'm a moron one or the other.

This is my lucky day. I called my wife to pick up some beer from the store and I went through some home made beer to sample it as I had a batch of lemon that seemed to be too sour and I found out after opening several bottles that I have 2 six packs of the Kolch community beer left. WOOHOO! That's besides the samples I'll be mailing out for the swap next week.
I am charging up my digital camera and will post a pic of the kolsch tonight.

Also, someone asked me in an email how my cochlear implant surgury had gone. I was in the hospital overnight (dec 31st) and back to work after a week of sitting home, healing, and drinking home made pain killer big_smile! Since then I have had 5 calibrations of the implant where they hook it up to a computer and fine tune it. The ear I had the implant done in I had not heard out of for well over 15 years. Before the surgery they did a hearing test and I reacted to sound in the 100 decibel level which is beyond legally deaf. Normal hearing would respond in the 0 to 20 decibel range. Two weeks ago they tested me with the implant turned on and I reacted to sound in the 30 to 50 decibel range which is probably as close to normal you could get with an implant. I can now hear on the phone, and I am still having suprise moments where I hear some sounds for the first time, like the turn signal warning when you forget to tuen off the turn signal. THAT SUCKERS LOUD, gave me a heart attack first time I heard it!
Thanks to everyone who has asked about it, it's nice to know people are pulling for you even when you've never met them. I will be trying to get the other ear done this summer if the  insurance company approves it.
Meanwhile, I'm still cranking up the volume trying to hear what those bubbles in the beer sound like after you pour one. No luck yet.tongue

DC

Here's a pic of the Kolsch community brew. It's lighter than it looks but darker than it should be. But it tastes....MMMMMMMM!!

Looks good DC......I'll hopefully be bottling this weekend...it been going for almost 5 weeks now....I can't wait to try it...I think the color is dark, and the alcohol % will be a bit high, but still drinkable.  The sulfur smell should be less now too; before it was fairly strong.....

Oh delicious American Pale Ale...stupid camara phone.  No resolution.  Side benefit of the Cubs home opener in the background!

Something different.....my Light Lager during transfer from primary to secondary.......and it didn't have any off-flavors or smell or taste like green apples or corn.......so far ....so good......

Are there any Cosendonk fans on here? It's one of my favorites. German Monks sure know how to get down on some brew.
