Your Favorite Beer

Ive stuck fairly religiously to Sam Adams and Blue Moon. I love Belgain Whites.

Great thread!!!  Session beer for me, my old stand by, Bridgeport's IPA.  But if I'm going to marvel in Brewing greatness,  Koeninghoven's Quadruppel.  I could lick there sugar residual from my lips on night long!

Mine.  Next question?

I just had a Smuttynose Really Old Brown Dog Ale.  It was exceptional.  A big beer, quite malty, but very smooth.

Good call

I live in the Philly suburbs, close the the Victory brewhouse.  My favorites include the Victory Prima Pils, the Hopdevil (IPA), and the seasonal Hop Wallop!  WOW!  If I had to pick one......tough, depends on the season.

This is the easiest question ever.  Sam Adams Oktoberfest!!!!! All year round.

if i were to have just one beer...i would probably go with one of the new glarus beers, maybe the hop hearty ale.  but i agree that my beer choice depends on the season and to have only one beer forever, i would have to live in a climate with no seasons.

For one beer La Trappe Duvel.

For a sessional  Coopers Pale Ale ( Aussie)

Interesting thread!

Would have to be Allagash Triple Reserve, out of Portland, ME. It's a 9% Belgian Style Ale. Awesome stuff! And for the previous comment on Smuttynose, have you tried the Big Beer Series? They are 1 pint 6 oz bottles that are in limited quantity, and they change every month or so. They are about $5 each, but worth it. They have a pretty decent Imperial Stout out right now. Try the Big A IPA when it comes around.......I would love to clone that one.

Tough call, but it would have to be Unibroue Terrible.

Failing that one I would take any of the Unibroue special runs.

iflylo2c3d,

I have only had the really old brown dog ale from Smuttynose so far.   It is one of their "Big Beers."  I'm looking for the Maibock, which should be in stores, but for some frustrating reason, is not in mine yet.

The Old Ale is really exceptional.  I even got my wife on to it, tonight.  She actually said "yummy" and "beer" in the same sentence.

I'm a big fan of Long Trail Ale, but can't really label it as my  favorite, i have too many favorites.

i went to a local AA Baseball game today and i was suprise at two things, they we're serving Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat, suprised to see that brand here in the northeast, and suprised that it was pretty good.

I thought Leinenkugel was brewed out of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.  So the wheat is pretty good?  I'm not a big fan of Miller but I'll givie a try.

Thanks,
Wild

leinies is out of chippawa falls, and their nothing like miller.  The wheat is the only beer that they are taking out of the region and going nationally.  All of their beers are awesome, I'm a big fan of their original lager actually...

can;t really compare it to miller, or the "milwaukee beers" C. Falls is very far north in the state and a good 5 hours away from brewtown.
