Your Favorite Beer

i think the misconception here is because Miller bought Leinie's in the late 80s.  but Leinie's has kept its original beers and added a few more since.  the only part of a Leinie's that is a Miller is the money you end up paying them.  it's still a good beer in general.

My favorite of all time has to be Bell's Two Hearted Ale.  I was so happy when it went from a fall/winter seasonal to a year-round brew!

the one i'm drinking

Jadyhill,
The Maibock is also one of my favorites, but I haven't seen it in a long time. I recently moved to Maine from NH, and when I visit NH, I pick up a bunch of the Big Beers. They recently pulled them from the grocery store in Concord, which really bummed me out. Guess I'll have to try to brew my own now.............And as far as my girlfriend goes, she gags when she gets close to any of the beers that I drink. That might be a good thing though:)

Hopefully, my favorite will something I brew eventually.  For now, I'd absolutly have to go with Westvleteren 12.  It got some online a while back, and it was worth every penny, and the wait to ship overseas.  It really is that good.  The only thing I have had that come close is Konigshoeven Quad.  The St. Bernadus 12 is also very good, but just a bit below I think.  I'm going to trying Achel Extra Bruin this weekend, which I've heard is also very good.....

My Brother lives in Seattle, the first time I visited him, in the early 90's I had the best beer I have ever had in my life.  MACK AND JACKS AFRICAN AMBER,  very drinkable, full of flavor, color of an octoberfest beer.  Stuff was fantastic.  I've been to Germany, Scotland, Italy, England, Ireland.  Still the one in Seattle was the best.

The wheat is the only beer that they are taking out of the region and going nationally.

I've seen Lienies Berry Weiss here in Houston at some liquor stores.  Still a wheat but not the Sunset.

My favorite at the moment is St. Arnold's Brown.  I tend to change favorite beers every so often, but right now I am on that kick.  Before that it was Belhaven on draft.

I'm also a big fan of Left Hand's Milk Stout on a nitro tap, although I can't find it down here, only had it at the brewery.  Just not the same in a bottle or on a regular tap.

Another great one is Schneider Weisse Aventinus, a great Weizen Dopplebock, although the German varieties are getting quite expensive lately.

Quite possibly the most difficult question to ask...but ill try. If I had no other choice, its a coin flip between Delirium Tremens and St. Bernardus ABT 12.

I will also be greedy and pick a seasonal - Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale.

I have to go to my fridge...Im Thirsty now.

Even though I haven't been able to have it since I was in Germany last year Schofferhofer hefeweizen, even though it wasn't brewed in southern Germany, it still was and is my favorite beer. Since it isn't readily available near me, Breckenridge's Oatmeal Stout is my second favorite right now.

I'm always, absolutely sure, it's my next brew.  wink

Speaking of Leinie's, Nude beach is a great wheat that they make, Big Butt Dopplebock or Creamy Dark (lager) are both awesome, if any of you get the chance, try some of the flavors that Steven's Point Brewery has been coming up with (aka Point Special)

Otherwise my favorite beer is a free one!

That's a tough one....  This week I would say Elyssa IPA from St. Arnolds brewery.  Next week will probably be different.

Sorry, Nude Beach is by Point

My fave right now is probably the Oak Creek Nut Brown here in Arizona.  It's produced by a small brewery in Sedona, Arizona.  They also have a great Imperial Stout that I just tried for the first time the other night.   If you are in that area I would recommend trying it.  Until recently I could only find it on tap in northern Arizona, but now they have it available in bottles, at least around here.  Yum!!

Guiness on tap, like the stuff I drank in Ireland.  Something is missing from the Guiness here that was in the stuff they were serving in the pubs.  I have no idea what it is, but the flavor is a bit different.
