Before you say “that’s not gonna be good”, try a few. I know most beer lovers wouldn’t like the idea of an orange wedge over a pint of scoff and wit, but I tried it, and I loved it. I know beer is a complete drink in itself, but try mixing it with other things, and get an amalgamation of good tastes.

Ok so it happened this way that I went to some local store and picked a Berliner Weisse. Since I had never tasted it, I thought I would try it out. I thought it would be somewhat like Bavarian Hefeweizen since the names were so similar. So I bought a few bottles home and poured one into a frosted glass (I love drinking beer that way). And as I took a gulp of it, I felt a weird taste hitting my mouth from the inside, moving to my throat. I tightened my face muscles to let it move easily to my stomach- it wasn’t a beer to suit my taste. Of course if you like sour stuff, you might wanna try it out. But for me, my eyes just closed and body stiffened. Before I could hurl it out, I quickly spat it.

I don’t like to waste beer but I had to throw it away. I sat down on my computer to write just how much I hated that beer, when I thought of reading about it. So I got to know that it is actually supposed to be sour, and it has some kind of bacteria that makes it sour.

As I researched, I found out that Berliner Weisse is served with woodruff or raspberry syrup. Since I had bought a few bottles of it, I didn’t want to throw away the rest of them too. I had a little raspberry syrup with me, so I decided to make a beer cocktail.

I took a tall glass and added the raspberry syrup in the beer, and it looked cool with the red stuff mixed with the beer. It looked like a lava lamp in the starting, but then I mixed the two and got a nice looking drink.

It smelled good. And then I took a sip, and it was awesome! Though I could still feel the sourness, but it mixed with the raspberry flavor, and it was delicious.
