Blue Bottles

I just bought a couple cases of 12oz blue bottles. Will they skunk my beer? I know green is supposed to be bad but what about blue? I haven't even brewed my first batch yet so I am a complete newbie. They will be kept in the dark at least until drinking time.

I'm not sure what kind of UV protection blue bottles offer but I think they'd be comparable to green bottles.  If they're kept in the dark until drinking time then you have nothing to worry about.

Clear glass bottles won't skunk you beer anymore than brown bottles.

UV light skunks beer.  (Yep, douchey science guy comment of the day.)

So bottle in what ever you want, just keep them in a box and out of the light.

Where do you live? If you are local to MA, I have 6 cases of grolsch flip-tops I am looking to unload.

I will have to agree with brewchez, and add that even in brown bottles, practice leaving your beer out of the light. If you are using glass carboys, a towel wrap is easy, and once they are bottled, keep them in a light safe place- so it really dosnt matter the color of glass.

Hey wasn't the original SamAdams millenium in a blue bottle?  I think TripleBock came that way for a while too.  I hated triple bock, it was more like soy sauce.
