Bottle transfer

Ok so I'm in a predicament.  I have a large growler of already made beer, that is ready for drinking.  But there is a fair that I want to submit my beer in, and they want the beer in 3 bottles.  I only have this one growler of my beer left, but I have plenty of empty bottles.  Can you transfer an already carbonated beer to other bottles and then re-seal them?

I would say, if you're careful, yes.  Be sure, be sure, be sure to sanitize the transfer to bottles/caps, and also the outside of the growler before you open it.  If you have some tubing to make a siphon, that me be an easier way to rack it over without causing too much of a stir.......

Although, you may want to add a tiny bit of sugar to each bottle to give them that fully carbonated pop and fizz when the judges open them for tasting......

Thanks a lot, that sounds like it would be a good way of doing the transfer.

You can try it, but I tend to think that its not really going to yield the best results.
Be as careful as you can.  Hopefully you can fill more than three bottles and test an extra one.
You can still submit mildly flat beer to the comp and get good feedback on the flavor to a degree but the beer won't be its best because you will loose some carbonation.
