First home brew- how to bottle?
Hello JIM, 1 mr beer kit makes exactly 24 (1 case) 12 oz bottles. Remember, you are not filling the entire keg, just to the 8 lilter mark, or a little above it. Depending on the kit you have, it could come with 8 1 liter bottles, if not, you can use 1 liter soda bottles, or even 2 liter bottles for that matter. You could get beer bottles, and a capper if you like, it does give a better look to the bottles, all of the items are On the MR Beer web site, although bottles and cappers are much cheaper on other sites.
For sanitation, use the sanitizer pack that came with the kit, I use to get a few extra to sanitize the whole sink, it was easier for bottling. This is a one step solution, that you do not have to rinse. Really, all you have to do is follow the directions on the kit, and you will have a really great beer.
