First home brew- how to bottle?

I am using a MR Beer kit to brew my first batch.  I need to drink 11 more bottles to have enough.

The MR Beer kit appears to make 32 bottles (I filled the keg, then drained it into 18 bottles, then 13 of them twice).

I only have 12 caps with the Mr Beer kit, how do I get more caps?
How tight do I need to have the caps fit?
How do you sanitize your bottles prior to using them (I was thinking of boiling them in water)?  Any of you label your bottles?  How?

Bottles and caps..... http://www.northernbrewer.com/bottling.html .....the Amber 500 ml PET bottles ........ No rinse sanitizer....  ONE STEP    http://www.northernbrewer.com/sanitizers.html  THESE EXAMPLES ARE JUST FOR REFERENCE.......you can buy them at many homebrew shops

HAND TIGHTEN FIRMLY

........YOU CAN ALSO USE BROWN ROOTBEER BOTTLES OR THE PLASTIC BEER BOTTLES FROM BUD< COORS<OR MILLER LITE......the caps will last for three or four usages and then you can just order new caps. Most homebrew stores also sell label software and label paper.....I don't label because it's just a pain to strip the labels back off each time you have a new batch.....

Pay your LHBS a visit, they will have caps by the gross for sale, as well as a bottle capper that will clamp the lid down as tight as need be. Did you get glass bottles with the kit? if not, the LHBS will have many different kinds of bottles for use if you find yourself not having enough.

Sanitizing bottles really comes down to what is easiest for you...running them through the dishwasher with no detergent and on the hot setting should be enough. but also washing them thoroughly with soap and water, rinsing thoroughly, and soaking in a sink full of sanitizer for a few minutes is the path I take. (My dishwasher is a hunk of crap so I am relegated to elbow grease)

Unfortunately i haven't started to label bottles, so I could make something up involving crayons, tape and paper, but I will let the labling expertise come from somewhere else!

Also if you are really enjoying brewing take a look at all of their brewing equipment...there is an endless variety that will give you unlimited options on what you can brew. But Mr Beer is a great place to start and see if it really is a hobby for you!

Yeah, I figured that out, after I typed it........close enough, sort of, maybe......hmm

I label my bottles using 2"x4" labels I get at Online Labels. This is just one of the types of sheets that they have. Each sheet layout has a few different template files you can use to design the labels. I use word, and it works great!

Taking off the labels can be a pain, but all you really have to do is soak the bottles for a few minutes and then some labels will peel off, and some can be scraped off. I finish with SOS if needed to get the last of the glue off. Takes about an hour total to clean off a case of twelve ounce glass bottles.

Online Labels has removable labels, but I've never tried them.

Hello JIM, 1 mr beer kit makes exactly 24 (1 case) 12 oz bottles.  Remember, you are not filling the entire keg, just to the 8 lilter mark, or a little above it.  Depending on the kit you have, it could come with 8 1 liter bottles, if not, you can use 1 liter soda bottles, or even 2 liter bottles for that matter.  You could get beer bottles, and a capper if you like, it does give a better look to the bottles, all of the items are On the MR Beer web site, although bottles and cappers are much cheaper on other sites.
For sanitation, use the sanitizer pack that came with the kit, I use to get a few extra to sanitize the whole sink, it was easier for bottling.  This is a one step solution, that you do not have to rinse.  Really, all you have to do is follow the directions on the kit, and you will have a really great beer.
