gravity readings for bottling time?

Do you guys go by gravity readings to decide when to bottle (those who still bottle)? Or when the bubbles quit rising in the neck of the carboy? Got two beers that time wise and S.G wise should be ready for the bottle, but I still have bubbles climbing up the necks
