Keg in a Box

Keg in a Box

I saw the Coors keg in a box last night at Bevmo.  Does anyone know if you could reuse it?  It looked similar to one of those party pigs.  I asked the rep and he didn't know if you could switch out the CO2 cartridge

I finally finished my keg in a box (most of it was used for brats).  It looks like you can reuse it.  If you take a a pair of pliers you can pop the safety seal locking the CO2 holder.  After peeling off the labels, this thing looks like it's going to be perfect for transporting home brew to  parties.

Are we talking about a party ball?
What is the volume of one of those things, I wonder if a party ball would make a good fermentor?

The only problem is I don't have a need to get a party ball full of light american lager.

Nope, not a party ball.  Its a new product that resembles a party pig in a cardboard box that uses disposable CO2 cylinders to push the beer and has a plastic tap handle and faucet on the front of it.

I believe they're made to break if you try to disassemble them but some homebrewers have found ways to take them apart without breaking and reuse them successfully.

HBT - Coors Disposable Keg = Party Pig?

It holds 1.5gal.  They are $20, but the one I got came with a $5 mail in rebate.  The CO2 cartridge holder screws in and then locks.  If you snap the plastic locks then you can unscrew it and replace the cartridge.
