Kegerator Build

Alright guys, need a little advice.  I purchase all the necessary equipment I needed for a tower kegerator install.  My next problem is the fridge to purchase.  I am a little nervous since I have read that you have to use caution drilling through the top, not to hit the coolant line.  I have the plans to build the kegerator out a Sanyo fridge from best buy: http://www.kegkits.com/kegerator1.htm but the problem is that I live in NYC and all the Best Buys around me have been sold out of that fridge.  My other option is to use an Oster fridge http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp … 9496059542

Should I be overly concerned about substituting a different model?  The plans indicate where the sing line would be on the sany, but it would be a shot in the dark with the oster.  Would there be multiple cooling lines in the top as opposed to Sanyos one?

I have the option of driving a little ways out of the city to pick up at another best buy, but would prefer not to.  Driving in the city is a PIA, then have to pay tolls and gas.  Shipping wasn't an option on the BB website since no local store had in stock.

Thanks,
Chris

You could probably contact their tech dept. after you buy it and find out where they are at..........?????????? thought ??????

There is most likely only one coolant line running on the top of the Oster fridge. You can contract the company to ask about that, but they won't be able to tell you where the line is as they are installed by hand and each location varies. I modified a Kenmore fridge succesfully. I saw youtube videos of people using a solution of cornstarch and rubbing alcohol to determine where the line was. All that did for me was make the top of my fridge messy. I just turned the fridge on, and in 10 minutes or so of the compressor working I could feel a distinct line of heat running across the top where the coolant line is... Hope that helps!
