METAL CAPS

CAN YOU REUSE METAL CAPS?
THANKS RUBYKAT

Nope, because they are usually bent when prying them off of bottles. Even if they don't get bent, caps aren't what anyone would really term 'expensive', so it would just be a better idea overall to buy new ones and not have to worry about improper seals.

I'll typically buy the all inclusive kits with everything in the box except the bottles.  They give you 50 or more caps.  You might almost use them all up if you bottle in 12 oz or 11.5 oz bottles, but I've been switching to 22 oz bottles and get about 24-25 of those which gives me excess caps.  I use those on my extra fermenting projects like my mead and cider.  Not a silly question by any means though because I've had friends over to help me drinking my homebrew and they typically ask if I save the caps, too, or just the bottles.
