Primed with DME, how long to carbonate?

I just bottled a batch of CPA last Thursday using light DME to prime. This is the first time I have used DME and was wondering if it carbonates at the same pace as priming sugar? I'm not in a super big rush, just wondering if it will be ready for a homebrew meeting on Friday.
Thanks!

I've primed with DME a couple times and I usually give it 2-3 weeks. From what I've read DME takes a little bit longer than corn sugar but then again I've had mixed results with corn sugar.  Raising the temp around your bottles can help speed up the carbonation process, too.  With that being said I'd pop one open on Thursday and if its good then I'd throw some in the fridge for Friday.

Treat it the same way as you would if you primed with corn sugar.  Wait a week, pop one and see how it is.  Wait another week, pop another and so on, until you find the correct amount of carbonation.  When you do, put them in the fridge and enjoy.....
