strange carbonation developement
nah, you need some schlitz to do up those brats, lol. My dad used to do that, and I mean he did that when no one heard of it, like the 70's. Well, maybe people did it in the midwest, but not in Massachusetts, lol.
I've been thinking about having an octoberfest, hell, even having alot of people over for a brew day, but we are still moving in (We moved in, in May). As most of you know moving in is a year long process, lol. So as soon as I get everything nailed down, I'll have a brewday/ contest at the homestead, when that will be, I have no Idea.

How did your Oktoberfest go?
It was a lot of fun. I had two smokers going and filled both up twice and somehow we managed to eat it all. My oktoberfest was really good but slightly under carbed. No one seemed to notice but me. It went fast but I guess thats what happens when you're drinking from large mugs and a boot. There was only about 2 gallons of the 80/- left and it was pretty damn good as well. Didn't get too many pictures, unfortunately, something that happens when you're the host and have been drinking heavily. I'll post what I did get soon.
How was yours?
It went well; I think we had 7 brewers and 10 beers. There was a ton of food.
Over the past few Oktoberfest's I noticed that the subtle beers kind of get lost in the mix. There were several this year. They are great for quaffing but if you want your beer to stand out you have to kick it up a notch. So this year I did a 1.080 144IBU IIPA, and a version of Kodiak Brown, both of which I thought tasted awesome and weren't muted by the mass tasting.
I just made a RIS that I may hold till next year.
Sounds like it was a helluva time!
