When NOT to Multi-Task

So, today I'm working out of my home office, taking & making phone calls, it's a little slow in the lumber biz.
I decide that I'll try to work in- 1) brewing my weizenbock, 2) bottleing the Biere de Garde, 3) sight in the muzzle loader, and 4) work on meals for this weekend's Hunt Camp.

Well, now, then, everything is going along just fine, I've just started siphoning the Biere de Garde into the bottling bucket, the weizenbock is in it's first 30 min of the boil, and the phone rings.

I bound upstairs & take care of business then go back to check things out.  The boil is fine, but 3 gallons of Biere de Garde is all over the floor. yikes  AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH !!!  yikes Forgot to close the valve after washing out the bottling bucket.

Note to self:  When overextending yourself, at least carry a cordless or cell phone.  On the other hand, maybe just don't multi-task with something so important.  That's the brew, of course.

I feel ya.  I just lost about half a gallon of my first runnings of an IPA I brewed over the weekend.  I let my niece help out with the last batch, and had her clean out the kettle when we were done while I took care of some other chores.  She didn't close the valve all the way when she was done, and I didn't check it before pumping  in the wort for this batch.  The result was a valve that was partialy open for the previous two weeks and about half a gallon of wort all over the stove top.

"Forgot to close the valve after washing out the bottling bucket."
ARGHH!!! What a drag!
