Cider with home juiced apples?
I'm thinking of making a batch of cider using apple juice that I have juiced myself - here at home. Will I need to heat the juice to get rid of bacteria? Will I need yeast ? What kind?
Thanks good folk. ![]()
I've found that you would need to pasteurize the juice first. Unless you like cleaning up overflowing bottles of putrid apple sludge. A champaigne yeast works well, and you will need it.
Hey - thanks for that. I will post results when I have them. ![]()
