So, what do people usually do for making cider yeast starters?

From what I've read on it they are made like beer starters only using a couple pints of cider.......1qt. cider.....yeast nutrient.....appropriate yeast.....

adjust the amount of cider you use for your starter based on the OG of the raw cider. if your cider juice is only 1.030, you might want to stiffen it's backbone with some brown sugar to boost.

i would even suggest a little sugar regardless, to ensure your yeast is healthy and happy. that's just me.
