An interesting experiment......

Hi all!
So, i'm as new to this as one can be. I've never brewed anything before two weeks ago. I live in residence at university and have made a form of hard cider using apples taken from the cafeteria, and fermented using baking yeast in a 1.5 litre wine bottle. 2 weeks later it is done fermenting, and smells like wine. I'm sure any brewer reading this is crying, but those in university do what they must with what is available  tongue .

I was just wondering, is there any chance my friends and i will end up in the hospital, is it possible for methanol to form when one is making cider? Any information upon this subject would be greatly appreciated smile, and any general advice for next time i brew cider would be awesome.
Thanks!

ps. Don't worry, this experiment will never be reproduced, I'll be moving to much more sophisticated means once i  have some money and a place of my own tongue.
