An interesting experiment......
Hi all!
So, i'm as new to this as one can be. I've never brewed anything before two weeks ago. I live in residence at university and have made a form of hard cider using apples taken from the cafeteria, and fermented using baking yeast in a 1.5 litre wine bottle. 2 weeks later it is done fermenting, and smells like wine. I'm sure any brewer reading this is crying, but those in university do what they must with what is available

I was just wondering, is there any chance my friends and i will end up in the hospital, is it possible for methanol to form when one is making cider? Any information upon this subject would be greatly appreciated 
, and any general advice for next time i brew cider would be awesome.

ps. Don't worry, this experiment will never be reproduced, I'll be moving to much more sophisticated means once i have some money and a place of my own .
