Putting Cider in a mini-Keg. Any thoughts?
Hello,
This is my first post, though I have read a bunch of the material on this site related to making cider and bottling. Last weekend I started my first batch of cider with 5 gallons of unpasteurized cider bought at the apple orchard near my house. It was pressed the night before. With that, I added 2 pounds of honey, and a packet of ale yeast. Now, this is the first time I have done any real brewing by myself, so I honestly couldn't tell you what type of yeast I got.
I'm planning on racking it till its nice and clear, and had thoughts on carbonating it.
While thinking of all the bottling I would be doing, I wondered if you could use mini-kegs for storing hard cider? Like the ones you can get Heineken in.
Anybody know?
I got these links off of another brew site and thought I would ask on a site that has a whole section dedicated to cider making.

I like the idea of having only 4 containers for my cider, and the idea of it being from a keg. If I looked towards this direction, would I have to keep all of the kegs refrigerated? Or would I have to do that only after they have been opened?
Thanks in advance
Tim
I tried this once with bad results. The cider hard a metallic taste. I ended up using it in the garden. I only bottle now. It was a bad experience.
