Wanted: Conical Fermenter
I prefer to use stainless steel conical fermenter because it is extremely durable and the easiest material to sanitize. It is impervious to heat, won't shatter like glass, and won't scratch, discolor and harbor bacteria like plastic.
I REALLY want a conical, but nothing to big, sumthing like a 6 gallon. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look and who has better deals???? thanx
look on ebay and google it dude, i thought i found a cheap place and was about to purchase and the site updated its prices and now they are not the cheapest there, i'd love to get a 15 gal. here are a few sites i've found them and a few dif sizes

Well, if you want cheap and you don't mind doing a little work yourself you might consider one of these:

It wouldn't take much to turn it into a real conical fermenter. A couple of valves, an airlock and a stand....
FOR SALE
Hello brewer folks,
I have a 15 + gallon conical fermenter that I would like to sell...made by Mini Brew. It is in perfect "new" condition with no scratches or stains of any kind. I brew 12-13 gallon all-grain batches and with 13 gallons in this there is plenty of head space left. I'm pretty sure you could squeeze 15 gallons in this and still have enough head space.
Anyway, it has 2 nickle ball valves; one for the side racking port and the other is at the bottom for yeast dumping/propogating. This fermenter is truly awesome and I have made some great beer in this. I was just given a stainless fermenter for my BDay and (unfortunatly) don't have the room for both.
I bought the extra gasket for it and have made a stand which raises the conical to the correct hight for gravity filling corny kegs.
I am asking $240 for all mentioned above...I paid over $350 for this. Please check around for yourself so you can understand what a good deal I am offering. Just one catch; however, I would like to sell this as a "pick up" only...please no shipping. This way you can check it out; etc...and save shipping costs which I am sure would be costly. I live in upsate NY...near Woodstock.
Happy brewing,
Cheers
