Hi thirsty, there rated for 160 F, which is fine for me as i mash @ 155, And there always underrated....
I'll be using a march pump for the wort transfer through the chiller and filter. As for cleaning there will be a 3rd flowjet installed to allow complete flushing of the system...Just have too figure on how i'm going to insert it into the plumbing ???? Probably use 3-way s/s valves.

Finally finished it this weekend, 2 minor glitches...had a split s/s pipe i never noticed, quick splice fixed that.
Burner for sparge kettle nfg...will swap out for next batch...All in all first batch on the new toy went smoothly with all doing what it was suppossed to do... decided on a pumpkin ale by bill owens from the buffalo bills brewery.....smells sweet....smile
As for the systems efficiancy....had reciept set to 75% @ 1.059
Finall gravity was 1.073 which hits 95%....

Glad the maiden voyage went off without a hitch. 95% eff.- f'n'a man, that is sweet, should save a couple $$ on grain too. I was talking to a guy that owns a LHBS at a brewfest a few weeks ago, he asked about my eff, and I told him I get 88%. He pretty much called me a liar, by saying most people don't know how to measure efficiency and anything over 80% is damn near impossible and would be the envy of any probrewer. So if I calculate my recipes at 85, I will overshoot gravity by a few points. If I calculate at 90, I struggle to hit and miss light by a point or 2. Last weeks BW had an OG of 27.75P, and I hit 27.75P calculated at 88%- why would I want to make the system less efficient? So if you are getting 95, good for you.

Off my rant now, system looks great, I was confused though about your water canister. I had thought at first it was filtration for your brew water, but then saw wort passing through it. Is that like a grant or hopback? When do you use it in your process? The ball lock QD is interesting too, how is that for heat tolerance? Nice color in that pumpkin too, looks like it will be a pretty beer.

hey thirsty... tkx
I'm using beer tools pro, has some nice "what-if" features.....the receipt generator has an option to adjust
your system efficiancy, I norm set it to 75%, and follow the receipt to the tee...
That batch should have finished with a 1.059 +/- a cple points..
I took my final reading and adjusted the calculator to achieve that gravity, and it returns the needed system efficiancy..  actually works nice...

As for the filter, its between the plate chiller and pump, and used in the final stage just for an additional catch what is left... "which with the first run having the false bottom AND 26 mesh screen in the mash-tun" was only color stained smile

As for the temp, final transfer goes from the boil kettle, through the plate chiller, than the filter, than the pump off the the carboy, so there is no concern.....Thats why i moved the flowjet from the "wort recirc" location, and installed the march pump there.

Well one more project too complete this longweekend.......
Putting in a 8x15 partition in the carport for winter brewing......Lots of needed storage for the website stock...
Hopefully wired "electrician called" plumbed for water "friend called" new gas line ran for the brewmaster"friend called" and definatly some heat smile
I just might get the inside of the house back.... smile
