First Beginner Kit question: Yeast

I just bought a beginner kit yesterday (double stage, with ingedients for first batch). Unfortunately I will not be able to start the brew until next weekend.

The ingredients kit came with a pre-measured pkg of dry ale yeast. Do I need to keep the ale yeast and hops pellets refrigerated until then? or will they be in room temp conditions (70 F)

thanks.

It never hurts to keep things like that refridgerated. Keep them cool until it is time to brew. Welcome to the brewing world! What will your first brew be?

Thanks for the tip.  Appreciate the help.

The first brew is going to be just a nut brown ale.  Start out easy and work towards the more elaborate. If all goes well with the first batch, the next will be Stout or Porter of some kind.

Thanks again.
