Good find today

Today, I found out that a local brewpub claims to have had a homebrew shop.  So i decided to check it out because the nearest homebrew shop is like 40+ miles away.  What i found was a homebrew shop/attic converted into a brewer's shed that looked like an 18th cabin that was ransacked by very angry and dirty thieves.  Aside from old growlers and expired john bull extract, I managed to find a 6.5 gallon carboy, which was used as a paper weight (the other nearest shop has been out since early 2007) and two airlocks.  I talked to the bartender/ brewer and got the whole lot for 20$. Sweetness.

That is a pretty cool find.

You cold have used the old extracts for starters.  Just pour off the spent wort first though.
