homemade fridge

i have a spare refrigerator and a was thinking about taking out the "guts" and install them in a homemade cooler
like a chest typeso i can lager and put kegs in. anyway has anyone  done this? if so whats the best way to go about it without damaging the parts or myself.

 

Whats wrong with the spare fridge the way it is?
I use an upright for fermenting and storing kegs just fine.

 

i need more room im gonna turn it into a cooler for a bar

 

I took a small dorm fridge apart, gutted it, made and insulated an enclosure for a kegarator.

It works great, I made it large enough for 2 cornies and a tank.

Just be careful not to crimp or cut any of the copper lines during disassembly of the old one.
