Nice job, Wade.  I still haven't let go of my false bottom yet but Im considering it.  How is this to clean?  I remember cleaning my bazooka screen and it pretty much sucked.

 

Hey guys  -  Thanks for the shout out.  I'm always looking for ways to help out this great community of homebrew hobbyists!  And I'll second the comment Brechez made about the AHA.  They are a great resource and of course great advocates to our cause. 

Anyway, Andrew, the filter isn't all that difficult to clean because it really doesn't allow big chunks to get through the screen.  I basically give it a good blast of water from the nozzle from my garden hose and any protein or smaller hop debris that has gotten to the inside of the filter just washes right back through.  The same goes for the pick-up tube inside the filter.  No disassembly required.  Cheers,
