How best to keep equipment clean

I think I usually do a fine job keeping my equipment clean, but no matter what I try my plastic primary bucket retains that lovely beer aroma. Now I plan on making a cider and want to use this primary, but I am concerned that I might get a hint of beer in my cider and vice versa if I start using the bucket for both. Tell me I'm just being paranoid, or that there is a way to get my primary completely clean.
thanks

I don't think there would be a problem if you made cider in that bucket. But if you really are concerned, why not invest in another bucket, and have one for beer and one for cider?

That would allow two batches at the same time. Even better!

Yes, then there would be a choice of beer or cider. Always good to have plenty. Especially if you are planning a party.
