Mutli-Keg Mr. Beer System - Stretching Beer $$$$$
I just finished bottling up 56 1 litre PET bottles with 6 different Mr. Beer extract recipes last night. Each 2 gallon keg produces 2.15 gallons of beer per recipe. To stretch my beer $$$ and keep my light beer drinking folks happy I added 40% filtered tap water to 2 PET bottles in each batch. This allowed me to bottle 7 litres of full strength beer plus 2 litres of 'light beer' versions of each batch.
They were all pale ales with SRUs between 3 and 5 and I bottle primed them to about 2.3 volumes, except for the 1 Whispering Wheat Weizenbier w/Golden Wheat that I primed to 3.6 volumes.
