plate chiller recirculation

A few people on this site have been worried about the summer months comming, and how to chill when their hose water is warm.  My hose water never gets to warm, a circumstance from having an old field stone basement, I dont think it would get above 60 degrees.
I was wondering if anyone ever tried to take their wort out end and pumping it back into their boil pot to get it colder quicker.  Seems like it would work, and get some extra airation too.  Just get the old inline thermometer, and when it hits 80 degrees, just start pumping into your fermenters.

never done it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.  What I have done when it gets hot, or when I make lagers is hook up both my plate chiller and IC.  I get the IC going right away while I hook up the plate and get them both going... ususally below 60 when it gets to the fermentor.

I think I have heard of a few folks recircing with a plate chiller.
The only issue I would think of would be not stirring up too much sediment because that will get into the chiller. Even if you use a hop stopper some of it will get through, or you'll pack the stopper so tight that flow will suffer greatly.
