Question About Vinbrite "vinpapers"
Hello,
I bought a Vinbrite mk3 filter. It came with crystalbrite pads and I also bought "vinpapers" from the same manufacturer. Vinpapers are thin paper filters that are supposed to catch loose particles from the pad. My question is this: does the vinpaper go between the pad and the support disc, or between the support disc and the locking ring?

The "prefilter" papers you have will go on the inlet side of the filter. This prevents the larger particles from plugging up the filter pads.

You must be talking about a different type of paper. The ones that I bought, called "vinpapers", definitely go downstream of the pad, because it says on the label that their purpose is to catch loose particles that come out of the pad. I just couldn't discern if the vinpaper goes between the pad and the support disc, or between the support disc and the locking ring.
