Soft copper tubing
So lately, Ive been building a small countertop all grain brewing system for test batches, and for boring weeknights. I went to lowes and ace hardware today to get some soft copper tubing to make a quick and dirty immersion chiller and found that lately the price of copper tubing is, well, ridiculous (80$ for 20ft). I was wondering if anyone uses anything else to cool their wort, besides an ice bath. I have a plate chiller but that can be a pain without my pump or regular brewpot (side note - new small apartment doesnt accomodate all of my brewing equipment).
This link might give you better prices:

I feel your pain. I have a 20ft IC right now that I bought years ago.
Now I find that I would like to get a 50ft with larger bore, and keep the 20ft as a prechiller for summer use.
Anyhow, I was going to make it myself but damn copper ain't cheap and I'd rather buy Malt with my money.
