Stout tap

Just added a stout tap to the picture. My buddy got me one for x-mas, his kegerator has no more room, so figured he would buy it for me and add it on, works for me!

Anyone using one currently. I wasn't expecting this and want to see how well I can get stout to pour through it carbed and pushed w/ co2 before I buy the nitro tank/reg. I have a batch to keg on friday, and not sure the level to carb at, or should I just break down and buy the nitro?

I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading something recently (all about beer, draft,  maybe BYO) about stout taps and the way they work WILL NOT work with CO2.  they push the beer through tiny little holes that somehow with nitro, that causes it to mix into solution and create that neat "falling" effect when poured.  With CO2 the same system will cause excessive foaming.  Nitro beer wont work well with a normal faucet and CO2 beer wont work well with a nitro faucet..  I think that was the gist.... wish I could remember where I read that.

Broke down, bought the reg/tank. Had to. Kick ass stout going into keg on friday, there is no way I could look at the tap and not have functionalit. Indian brown brewing on friday, so I should have a good rotation. Maybe a nice english biiter or brown next. Can't wait to see the cascades.
