What do y'all think....?
.............of the V Vessel system..It looks cool, but only holds 5 gallons I thion...any opinions?.........

I saw that in a BYO advertisement, i think. I thought it would be a convenient way to get rid of trub, a fun new toy, and a good way to impress my friends. But, i still need more stuff thats more essential so i never got one.
I saw an ad for that in the last BYO too. I thought it was pretty cool that it would eliminate transferring to a secondary and make it easier to harvest yeast. But one thing I couldn't get past was "What if it fell off the wall?" I would hate to be laying in bed one night watching tv and hear a loud thump in the next room and know it was 5 gallons of beer that I just brewed.
For me, there are better ways to go, 5 gal tops is not enough for me, I generally hang around 6.5 to 7 range.
here is a link for you all to concider:

Its a long link, but with great results.

it appears that no one has actually used the thing
I guess it is no good...it looked kinda cheesy..almost too easy...5 gallons is a small batch too, especially as I plan on movign to AG and 10g batches soon.....plus, off that link has a 15 gallon plastic conical for way less.....
I just came across these things. Hubby told me that I can have all his bonus this year for my nano-brewery if I want (duh, silly question). I was drooling over a conical stainless steel one and some other doo-dads (decisions decisions) ...BUT this would work for me and what I do.... it's 5 imperial gallons which is a little over 6 US gallons. I found a review for it which answered a lot of my questions (provided this guy isn't a liar, LOL)

I am also in love with this picture...
The only problem I see is filling the damned things... but I also see that nifty lifting thing in the far right of the pict and I have to wonder how hard it'd be to build something similar...
I just keep thinking of all the space I'd save.....
So whatcha think... should I get a couple and see if I like conical fermenting or just hold my breath and get the stainless 14 gal?
Those would give you more flexibility I would think. You could split your wort up and try different yeasts or spices etc.Something to be said for the SS 14 gallon though. Who wouldn't like one of those babies sitting in the brew room/closet.
Sadly, I also have to take into consideration basic laws of nature... I'm a girl and I don't have the upper body strength that guys do, so a SS fermenter might just be a bit much for me to be horsing around (washing etc) LOL
I wrote the company and got some additional. when I have everything I want to know about it, I will pass it on to you guys. I have pretty much talked myself into ordering one to try out so I'll let you know on that as well...
