Wrong keg connects

So I just received my kegging equipment in the mail tonight and realized that they sent me ball lock post connects instead of pin lock.  I would just send them back and request pin lock ones, but I had a hard enough time actually getting my stuff (it took over a month), so I don't feel like waiting another 4-5 weeks.  I've got beer in the secondary that I'm just dying to get kegged.  Is there any way I can use these or do I just need to go buy new ball lock connects?

tough luck. Ball locks aren't going to work on your pin lock kegs. do you have a LHBS? you might be able to make an even trade with them.

Where are you ordering from? most online suppliers, I primarlily use midwest, bust morebeer, northern brewer and high gravity are all equally good, ship within a week even at the slowest cheapest ship option.

Disclaimer- I do not advocate to use any other supplier than our website host has for sponsors, This may be in violoation of site rules.

But seriously, like Quadfire suggested a swap, or go to one of those sites and you will have your QDs in a week.

If you choose, I happen to have a couple extra pin lock QDs, PM me and I can shoot a couple out to you if you are in despaeration, and promise to ship the same back once you get them. I like to have extra of everything of the such.

i am finding that pin lock equipment is getting more and more rare. my lhbs doesn't even carry anything for them anymore.

since i have a mix of both kinds of kegs, i changed to the threaded (flare) liquid and gas disconnects (opposed to barbed) and they are great.

i highly recommend getting them if you ever get any ball lock kegs. of course, if you stay with only pin lock not an issue.

I'm going to give this a shot.  I checked online and they carry both, so it's worth giving them a call to see if they'd do a trade.

I ordered from kegkits.com.  I made the mistake of ordering based upon the best deal I could find price-wise as opposed to researching the site thoroughly.  After waiting weeks and weeks for my stuff I started reading about people having the same problems with this site.  Next time I will stick to my LHBS even though they are a bit more expensive or at least order from a more reputable supplier.

Thirsty, I really appreciate the offer.  I'm going to check with my LHBS and if they won't trade then I'll probably just buy some from them and return the others.

Thanks for the help, guys.
