Thanks for posting your sheets.
I haven't seen those scoresheets before, style wise I mean.  Did the BJCP change the scoresheets recently or are those an old version of sheets?
Does anyone know?

Mike, I think those sheets are a newer version that they were trying out last year.  I think they used them in the first round of the AHA.  It's supposed to let them provide specific feedback without as much writing, which I guess is pretty important when you're judging 5000+ beers, ha.  I think it also allows them to be more consistent with their terms when describing the beer.

Well, congrats to you as well MassBrewerJG!!!!

Thank you.  After reading your post, I was compelled to join this forum and offer my congrats.  I hadn't seen much talk about the contest from the usual search engines.  I've reconstructed my Pils based upon the feedback the judges offered.  Even though our Pilsners didn't win, merely placing in class and getting feedback is a win!
I can't wait to try the modified recipe.  About two weeks to go.

Best wishes.

Tall order, but I'll do my best.  Thank you for the kind words.

Yes, the feedback is what I was looking forwrd to on this brew.  Never ever thought I would even score half as well as I did.  (if you could see the contraption I made to lager in lol)  Some time I will have to pull it out and post a picture of it.

The plan is to tweak this recipe (per suggestions) and improve on what I thought was already a damn good beer!  But won't be able to think about tweaking until some time in May (after my semester ends).

It has been a long time and this contest is well over, but I thought I might offer some feedback on the Pils I remade after the judges crtiqued my brew.  The suggestions resulted in a far better beer than the original, and I can't see making it any other way now that I've had it this way.
