2008 SUMMER COMMUNITY BREW

i am liking rye, perhaps made like a summer wheat ale (orange, coriander, or even grains of paradise)

im going to toss my vote in for the Rye

I vote for a nice Hef....authentic with bannana esters and everything...

American Hefs just don't do it for me...

Throw me in for the rye as well.  Mainly because I've never made one and damn it it's about time!

I'm up for summer ale. Maybe with the grains of paradise, some orange peel, and centennial for a citrusy nose. Thinking a clear light grain bill with maybe a little melanoidan or aromatic to try to stain it a vibrant orange color, been thinking about experimenting with this anyhow.

I have a brew day on the schedule for June 21 and I need several gallons of something summery for a yard party 2 weeks later. So something light and refreshing that can go from mash to glass in two weeks. I vote hef (mostly since it's what I was going to brew anyway but I haven't finalized the recipe yet).

I'll throw my vote in for a nice Hefe.  Second vote would go to the rye.

I vote rye, had a few, but never made one. I also like the idea of making it the way vinyalwhl suggested, mix it up a bit.

I'm intersted in the Rye.

rye has my vote
