2008 SUMMER COMMUNITY BREW
If no one objects we can get some ideas going for the next community brew. I'd like someone to post the styles that have already been done and then we can try a different style. Lets get the ball rolling. Suggestions????

How about one of those citrus, corriander Summer Ales?? I haven't made one yet.
Scottish Light 60/- ?
I have a witbier in the primary right now that has coriander and orange peel in it. Summer is hot down here in the South so I am up for anything that is light and refreshing... Summer Ale, Cream Ale ( although my last one tasted more like an IPA), Rye Beer, Honey Wheat or a Fruited Wheat. Just some thoughts to get the creative ideas flowing. The Spring Kolsch community brew turned out great for me as I discovered a style of beer that I had never made before.
cream ale sounds good also, rye sounds like it might be interesting
Hefe anyone?
Only had one rye in my life but remember it as being rather light, dry and full of carbonation but it was really good.
So we have:
Cream ale
summer ale
hefe
fruited wheat
Rye Beer
Cream ale sounds good to me but I'm open to what we all vote for. Probably needs to be simple and with ingredients we all have access to.
Keep the ideas coming. Also need to know what's been made already in community brews.

Off that list, I would vote for a Summer ale, with coriander as previously mentioned. Maybe even with lots of summer spices......
Cream ale 1
summer ale 2
Hefe 1
rye
fruit beer
