adding fruit taste?
anyone know how to go about adding fruit tastes to beer (ex. Raspberry Hefeweizen)?
You can use extracts or real fruit. Extracts are much simpler and are added right before bottling or kegging. Whole fruits need to be boiled prior to adding to the wort. The key to adding fruit to beer is to brew a good beer first, then add fruit if you desire, adding fruit to mask a bad beer never works.
Do fruit extracts add sugar?

I don't think the extract have any sugar content, or a negligable one. I have enough rasberry extract for 20 batches and it's in a 2 oz bottle, I think it's just chemicals.
