Barleywine

It's in the stores here almost year round.  The bomber of barleywine are tough to finish, practice, practice, practice!

 

It is real hard to find many barleywines here outside of the late fall and winter time frame.  Seems most of the breweries only brew them in this time of year.  I wish that more of them were available all year round.

 

I love the 22 oz barleywine.  It's strong, hearty and more or less satisfies my dinner requirement.  And once you're done you feel like you've accomplished something.

 

Well, I definitely want to put up a batch of barley wine this winter.  I bought another "Killer Penguin" to share with a friend, & he compared it to "being hit in the face with a sack of hops".

I thought it was wonderfully appropriate big_smile

Anyways, I need to do a little research into recipes & choose a good one wink

 

If he thinks that's hoppy, give him so MoJo.
