Big Brew Day

So did anyone brew anything up for Big Brew Day?
I brewed the Chiswick Ordinary Bitter in honor of Michael Jackson.  We had about twenty people over and had the grill and smoker going pretty non stop as well as pretty much draining my Dunkel that I had on tap.  We had a great time.  Had another fellow brewer come over that I had never met before.  He brought 4 different home brews with him (really good brown ale) and a 12 year old bottle of mead that was pretty tasty.
We had a bit of a hiccup during the mash, though.  I've been having trouble with my grain mill and have had to tighten it up a bit to get it to work right.  Needless to say we ground too fine and had the worst stuck mash that I've ever had.  We actually had to remove the entire mash out of the tun and clean it out, but everything moved much more smoothly after that.  Seems like you'll always have a bigger problem with a bunch of people looking on.
All in all it was a great time.

brewed up a quadruple with my local club.  was a fun time despite the fact that it was low 40s and raining...  brought over two growlers of my dunkle that I had lagering for 4 months.  Damn!! so good and crystal clear!  I just wish I had the time to make more lagers because I have the equipment and the product is amazing.

Our west side club got together with the local Eagles chapter and brewed for a local charity.  12 brewers brewed 103 gallons of beer and mead.  We had 15 kegs on tap including beer, mead, and cider.  All the proceeds went to the childrens burn and trauma Camp Courage.

Brewed another batch of the Kolsch as well as a batch of Whit.

did up 5 gallons more of my mead

Tucson Homebrew Club did 60 gallons at the Barrio Brewing Company.

Anybody do anything Saturday for Big Brew Day?  Our brew club got together and brewed three batches.  My friend and I brewed 11 gallons of the Big Brew Day English IPA recipe.  It was our first go at building water from scratch and it seemed to go fairly well.  Another buddy and my Mom brewed 11 gallons of an American Brown Ale and another club member did a 5 gallons of Vanilla Porter.  We had burgers and stripers on the grill and for once it didnt rain on us for the event!
I'm going to have to step up my brewing again now, though.  Between Big Brew Day and Cinco De Mayo I went through 15 gallons of beer and now am running dangerously low.  Not good with softball season looming!

The home HBS by my place, Adventures in Homebrewing, had a big brew party.  There were 4 different brew systems set up.  I don't know if they were brewing 10 gals or not.  AIH provided a huge spread of cajun food and there were home brew "samples" all day.

I can't say I did anything but eat and drink the beer.  Wait!  I took lots of photos too.  It was really fun.  I plan on bringing my own beer next year.

Jexie, it would be great to see the photos.  Several were taken at our's as well but unfortunately not by me.  If I can get a hold of any I will post them.

Here are a couple:

Nice pics Andy!

As sexy as that Brewmagic is, I love the igenuity with the ladder for a 3 tier.! Just curious why the coil is in the circuit there? I am assuming it is HLT flying to the MT, running off to the BK? Is the coil just there waiting a different part of process?

The coil is just waiting to chill the wort later on.

Ok.  I finally get a chance to upload these.  I would  have taken better pics of the brew systems but I didn't know there would be a quiz!
