blow off
Hey everybody.....my buddy brought over some stuff and we did a batch and it's fermenting in a pail with an airlock. I'm concerned about the top popping off the bucket. If I use the tubing for racking and slip it into the gromet for the airlock, will that work as a blow off tube?

Probably or you could take the same tubing and slide it over the inside of the base piece on a three piece airlock.
as long as it fits tight, it will work. I did the method andrew mentioned, and it has worked fine so far. Although I have not been able to pull the tube off the airlock, my tube is on there very tight, lol.
I couldn't get the tubing around the inner part of the airlock to I just pushed it into the gromit. Hopefully I won't need it but is rather be safe than sorry.
