Carbonation Question

I bottled an IPA a week ago. I always pop one open a week after I bootle to see how it is coming along. When I tried it this time though the beer did not have a lot of carbonation to it. I added 5oz of priming sugar like I normally do before I bottle  but there was not as much fizz  as normal. I did let it sit in fermentation for 14 days though due to a busy schedule. Do I have anyhting to worry about? Do you think the carbonation will be there after another week or two? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Nothing to worry about.  I usually give my beers 3 weeks before I start checking carbonation.  Sometimes they don't take as long and sometimes they take longer.  If the temperature of the room where you're keeping your bottles is a little cooler, then carbonation may take longer.  I have a couple cases of porter that are sitting around 62 degrees and its seems its taking a while for them to carb up.

The cooler temps these days may be slowing down your carbonation process.
Just wait it out, they should carb up fine.
Maybe start thinking about getting the beers into a warmer place to speed up the process.

I agree, just give it more time.  Sometimes my beers carb up in as little as a week, sometimes it takes 3-4 weeks.  You don't have anything to worry about.

Thanks everyone. I was a little worried. I will let it be for another two weeks or so.
