Cascade leaf plugs

How do I figure out the exchange rate if my recipe calls for pellets ? What if the recipe is not clear on what it is calling for ( pellets or plugs)?
My recipe simply calls for 2 ounces of Hallertauer hop pellets and I can only find plugs locally?

Play with your recipe with one of the free online recipe calculators.  (links below)
You can make entries based on hop form which changes the IBUs.
Enter the recipe as you have it, then sub in the appropriate amount of the same hop in a different format until you get the same IBUs that the pellets would have given you.

Try these:
The Beer Recipator  (Uses a 'p' do denote pellets, blank is plugs or whole leaf)

Tasty Brew Bitterness Calculator  (Actually, this one jsut calculated the bitterness of hops an you can select the form as a drop down.)

Thanks! I just got Beersmith so I am assuming I can play with the numbers there also.
