Community Brew Part Deux!!

I know we sorta started talking about this already, maybe brewing this in the end of Feb or sometime in March, but i got this idea from one of the other threads. we can all come up with a universal recipe like last time but each of us use a different yeast, should be interesting come swap time!

SHould we start talking about what to do for the next brew?

I'm up for anything. Nut Brown, IPA, Blonde Ale, Cream Ale, German Pilsner?

I think I will join you guys on this one. When you all started the BKB milk stout I had just bought my equipment and was a little intimidated. I would vote for a cream ale, or maybe we could even design our own "Spring Seasonal"? A hardy ale with wildflower honey and other earthy flavors?

I've become a real hop head,I'm down for a hopy pale ale or a IPA, even a double IPA.

I'm in for an IPA...

What kind of spring seasonal were you thinking?

otherwise I'd vote for the IPA.

Vote total so far:

IPA = 3
Cream Ale = 1

Get your style ideas in and vote, we can close out the style decision mid next week and then start working on the recipe.

I was thinking of a pale ale, maybe with some earthy tones and wildflower honey, maybe oak chips, spruce? I am not sure... just a thought. I figure there are enough people here with good ideas for recipes that we could come up with something a little different than the norm. Besides, who has ever made a Spring Seasonal?

I like the idea, but it might be too much for our second community brew jump out of the gate. but if we have enough interest i'd go for it.

I'd like to be a part of the next community brew as well. It's funny that the consensus so far has been either IPA or a cream ale as I just bottled an exceptionally good IPA-pale ale stlye beer with an amazingly great citrus floral flavor and I just put a cream ale in my secondary the day before yesterday. The cream ale will end up being a rasberry cream by the time it's done, but to be honest I have little idea how it's going to turn out. I would still be interested in doing either again but I'm kind of excited to hear what ideas are out there for this seasonal ale. I've had plenty of summer ales and plenty of winter ales but a spring ale? Not quite sure where to begin with that one, but defintely into trying something new. So I guess my vote is with the seasonal if we can collectively come up with some good ideas.
