End of the world around the corner?
This is horrible news:
October 20, 2006 - A survey by a major research firm says drinking cappuccino is threatening to become more popular than beer in Ireland.
The survey, called "Sober Ireland?," found that people in Ireland drank an average of three gallons less alcohol last year than they did in 2000, the London Telegraph reported.
In addition to the lower alcohol consumption, the survey says drinking every night at the local pub is becoming less socially acceptable, the Telegraph said.
Traditional pub life, the survey found, is being replaced by a continental culture that favors coffee drinking.

Maybe they should actually start exporting their Guinness now that they aren't drinking as much.
I better plan a trip over there before it's completely out of style.
If I know the Irish, this won't last long. Pretty soon the withdrawal will kick in. 
I'm sure they'll think a way around this. The next thing will be cappacino flavored ale. I know we won't be giving up ours for the likes of coffee
