Fermintap
More beer has a product called a "fermintap" turning a glass carboy into a sort of conicle fermenter. while the ides is a pleasing one, where does the CO2 pressure from fermintation go? with the carboy upside down.
Here is the link to the item:

Sounds cool. I have been fairly fascinated with the idea of concentrating your trub using conicals and looked around for a cheap way to make this happen in my setup. I like this a lot. Fairly cheap and utilizes equipment that I already have. Cool.
where does the pressure go?
There appears to be a pipe that runs up the center of the carboy - this could be used as a blowoff tube as well as a way of transferring the beer to either a secondary or direct to bottling.
That is definitely a cool tool...
i just fig'd that was a / the racking cane, you think its used at the blow off?
Looks like you have to take a racking cane and run it up the middle. Probably run that into a jug of water, for a blow off tube. I had posted about this awhile ago and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. I also posted on another forum and still haven't heard anything back. Guess i might just have to try it out myself. If I do I will give a good breakdown on the operation.
Cheers
This sounds like a great way to get the effects of a conical fermentor without having to buy and store yet another fermentor.
