First beer you brewed?
Probably a sierra nevada pale ale clone, don't remember the recipe, but the taste... not too good. but not bad enough to dump either...
My first favorite beer was Olympia. Haven't seen it for quite awhile. Don't even know if they're still making it.
First beer I brewed was a Czech Pilsner canned kit. I kicked it up to 7.3% ABV with table sugar and fermented at room temperature (avout 68 F). It was pretty nasty until it sat in the fridge for a couple of months.
I've been doing partial mash for about a year, but have gathered most of the equipment needed for all grain and will switch next month when I get one of my carboys empty.
Favorites now include Arrogant Bastard and Torpedo. Have a batch of Torpedo clone first attempt going into second week in primary, along with a SN Anniversary IPA and a Northern English Brown in secondary. The brown is for my wife who likes Negra Modelo and comes pretty close to a match.
The first beer I ever had was a Bud Light. I haven't touched it since! The first commercial beer I really liked was Sam Adams.
My first home brew was a True Brew all malt amber kit. Tasted similar to the Sam Adams but was far better. Mostly because I made it, but also because it tastes purer and fresher.
I still have no problem drinking Sam Adams when the homebrew runs out, but NOTHING BEATS A HOMEBREW!!!!!!

My first beer was when i joined the Navy. I had never really drank till then and it was Keystone Light. Hard to hold down now but i was killin them in the service (30 pack and cheap). But after that i found that i like Guennuss and any beer at a local brewpub that i found (a navy man can sniff out beer/bars in any country).
My first homebrew was a Brewers Best Irish Stout I got from a LHBS with my kit as . I covered my moms stove in a boil over (horried sticky mess i didnt clean it up till i was all done took hours). Transfered the hops/wort to a carboy with water in it to cool it dont think it drop to below 100 degrees. Then pitched my yeast i wish i knew what yeast that was because it survived that! I had it up in my room with a CFL bulb and a window with open blinds though i did have it in the corner with the least light. I let it ferment for the printed 5 days and transfered to bottles. It carbed up nicely though it tasted kinda off not like Guennuss as i had hoped. But I made it and i drank all five gallons by myself.
oh wow...hard to say what my fav is.
My buddy that helped me get started brewing used to bring around some many diffrent brews it's hard to say.

It got me started.
My first was a Hefeweizen. Bottled after 7 days in the primary and was drinking it a week later...lol. From what I remember it pretty good though.
Hard to say what beer was my first favorite, I guess Löwenbräu!
My first batch was a Fat Tire clone partial mash that actually turned out pretty good, at least for my first attempt. I added a little extra sugar before bottling 'cause I like 'em bubbly but other than that, I liked it and that is all that matters. :-p
The first beer that taught me that what we American's generally think of as beer, isn't, was drinking Alaskan Amber (or maybe the Stout) up in Denali Park.
The first one I brewed was a Belgian Wit. Great starter ale. Very light hops profile, lots of sugar, and aggressive, warmth-loving yeasties. It turned out great!
The first beer that opened my eyes to craft brewing was Harpoon IPA. Then one day at the liquor store someone suggested I try Boulder's Mojo IPA if I liked Harpoon's and that's when I realized there was more to beer than I knew. And at the time I was blown away that the beer was 6.8% abv. Little did I know that I'd start brewing beers that were much stronger than that.
The first beer I brewed was an Irish Red ale kit that I got with my equipment from The Home Brewery. I read two books before I even brewed it and it came out pretty good. A little light and under carbed but decent. I think about buying that kit every now and then to see how my brewing has progressed.
